Purpose and scope of application

The control station of the SU CR AV ETALON series, a frequency converter with an active rectifier, is designed for frequency control, operation optimization and protection of submersible electric pumps equipped with an asynchronous electric motor of the PAD series. This SU series fully provides all the properties and characteristics of the SU CR ETALON series. A distinctive feature of this series is the presence of an active input rectifier, which provides a low coefficient of input current (and therefore voltage) harmonic distortion of the network.

Functional capabilities

The control system of the ChR ensures the operation of the pumping unit in the following modes:

  • Manual or automatic control of the PED rotation speed
  • Operation in the mode of programmatic change of output frequency for a specified period of time
  • Acceleration, smooth braking, reversal of rotation of the PED with a variable U/F characteristic for various types of loads
  • Operation in the mode of maintaining a technological parameter (pressure, current, analog signal)
  • Modes of forcing the starting torque of an asynchronous motor (jerking mode and wedging of the pumping unit)

Distinctive Features

  • A power inverter manufactured by Semikron, which offers increased reliability under difficult operating conditions, has a built-in VFD controller and power switch protection
  • An active rectifier not only does not introduce distortion into the power supply network, but also helps to improve the sinusoidality of the power supply voltage waveform, and the efficiency directly depends on the load of the control system.
  • Compliance with international power quality standards
  • Possibility of additional installation of a commercial electricity meter SET-4tm with integration of readings into the controller and output of information to an external RS-485 interface
  • Built-in sine-wave filter provides low harmonic distortion at the output of the control system
  • Consumption of only active current from the network due to the properties of the active rectifier
  • The mode of picking up the forward rotation of the PED and intercepting the reverse rotation with subsequent stopping and smooth starting in the forward direction
  • The input power factor from the grid side in the load range of 40...100% is within the range of 0.97...0.99
  • Transferring an archive using a standard industrial USB flash drive (allows you to transfer data to a computer without additional devices)
  • Possibility of energy recovery back into the grid
  • TMS panel for installation without modification of ground units from various manufacturers

Optional

12/18-pulse version of the rectifier SU

Works with various types of TMS both via a serial digital port and via analog inputs
